About the designer
Pierre Jeanneret was a Swiss architect and designer, best known for his collaboration with his cousin, Le Corbusier. Born in 1896, Jeanneret worked closely with Le Corbusier on numerous iconic projects, including the Villa Savoye and the Chandigarh Capitol Complex in India. He was instrumental in the development of modernist architecture and furniture design, contributing significantly to the International Style movement. Jeanneret's work often emphasized functionality, simplicity, and rationality in design. He passed away in 1967, leaving behind a lasting legacy in architecture and design.
